A different place. A different day. A decision made a little earlier or later. Any one of them can change whether two people ever cross paths.
What If We Didn’t Meet explores that idea—not from the perspective of losing someone, but from something perhaps even stranger: never meeting them at all.
Life would have continued. There could have been other roads, other experiences and an entirely different future. Everything might have looked perfectly fine, without either person ever knowing what was missing.
The song imagines those alternate paths before arriving at a much simpler thought: rather than wondering about all the lives that could have been, sometimes it’s enough to be grateful for the one that happened.
