“Hold My Hand”

Hold My Hand started with a very simple idea:

Two people. A crowded dance floor. And for a few minutes, nothing else matters.

The idea had been sitting with me for a few days, but I wasn't quite sure where to take it. Then one evening, I stopped thinking about what the song should be and simply started writing.

The words came quickly — in about twenty minutes, the song was written.

What began with “Let’s dance” became a song about shutting out everything happening around you, following the rhythm and enjoying that one moment together.

There isn't a complicated message behind Hold My Hand.

It's about letting go, having fun and being completely present with someone.

Forget the world for a while. Take my hand. Let's dance.
